First Visit to a College Campus Thanks to Nikki!

Cullowhee, North Carolina (192 miles from home)

Jake and Ms. Rorie’s second grade class,

I’m so happy my brother sent Flat Stanley to visit me at my college.  I go to Western Carolina University in the mountains of North Carolina.  First, Flat Stanley made a new friend, Mel, and chatted in the UC which is the common area on campus, so lots of people hang out there.

Stanley, Mel, and I then went to lunch at the dining hall here on campus.  He also got to eat apple pie for dessert!

There was snow all over campus so we decided to stop and play for a little bit, before we got too cold, Stanley forgot his coat!

We saw the Alumni Tower on campus.  This is special because it honors and represents all the students who have graduated from WCU!

Western Carolina Catamount jersey

The school mascot for Western is the Catamount.  Stanley wanted to see what our basketball jerseys looked like so we went to the Catamount Campus Store.  How do you think it looks on him?

After walking all around campus we were all tired so Mel and Stanley took a nap in the Hunter Library.  I had a lot of fun with Stanley and hope that he can come and visit me at my school again!

Love,

Nikki
