Your Thoughts on Tweaking the Blog a Bit

questionsI’ve been slowly coming to this conclusion slowly and guess I have already made it in content, but I guess I should make it official and communicate it. I love agriculture. Passionate enough about it to blog about it more than any other topic. But having another blog, one devoted from travel that was set up before this one makes me up a barrier on what I post. And sadly the other blog has been INCREDIBLY neglected. Which means I only tend to post the things that go here and sometimes I want to post about other stuff.

Now I know, if you look through here, it doesn’t take long to notice posts that are not about agriculture. It just took a little tweak of the blog’s name from “ag – a colorful adventure” to having my blog about “a colorful adventure” that is largely inclusive of ag. But also clearly has a place for the travel and photography I enjoy so much.

At the end of the day, agriculture is a really big part of who I am. A defining force probably for many friends & relatives who don’t necessarily run in crowds with farmers on a routine basis. But I love other things too and think sharing those here may be a good thing. I think most of you will also enjoy seeing these other sides a bit more often but I’ll leave it to a vote.

I voted “go for it”. Personally, I like the variety of post topics that you post here and I would love to hear more about your travel adventures. I LOVE that I can read a post about cotton here one day and then see your pics from Israel next. Whatever you decided, I’m sure it will be good πŸ™‚

No worries, the cotton content will be staying!

Janice, I LOVE your travel posts and anything you write about. Not just cotton although I love those posts too. So keep up the travel posts because I only get to travel through you now πŸ™‚

I voted “go for it” but wanted to say that it is your blog … say what you want …. I like diversity! And some days, you may just feel led not to talk about ag or cotton. Blog on, I really like it!

I say go for it too. I don’t write a blog, but I guarantee you if I did it would definitely be varied. I have so many things I’m interested in, and I’m sure would want to share them all. Just think of the possibilities. πŸ™‚

Thanks Alyse! You’ve probably noted that it is all over the place…. sort of like me!

[…] I wanted to share. I had no idea how many things I’d one day want to rethink. Last year I rethought having two blogs — one on travel & one on ag — and when I asked what readers though it was clear! I […]
