The sights and sounds of the Iowa State Fair are still with me. It was an incredible experience for a first time state fair goer. I am writing several posts about it and will be publishing them over the next week or two. But to start, I thought some of you may like to get a feel for it through a series of short video clips. It shows one of the first sites I saw which was the cornhole tournament, as well as some of the other things I stumbled upon — hulahooping and rock wall climbing, a zipline, saddle sale, the antique tractor show, a cattle show, and some of the quick photos I snapped! I hope you enjoy it and I hope it makes you want to come back for more!

I love going to our county fair each year. It’s a family tradition. So much to see and do and the kids love the midway. This one looks like a lot of fun. 🙂
Yes! This one has a lot of permanent buildings, and the coolest thing may have well been the year-round livestock program or maybe the butter cow. LOL! I’m busily writing about both!
Love the video! How funny that I saw Val and Ian Plagge from Franklin County — I’ll be anxious to hear how you compare this state fair to any others you may go to.
Val was one of the folks who helps me see the sights! We had a great time together. 🙂
Great video JP. Pretty cool seeing the Peterson brothers. Looks like it was a great Fair. 🙂
it was in deed!
