Visiting With Dear Friends From Turkey Leaves Me REALLY Tired & Wordless

My friends Onur & Burcu are on their way home to Turkey after having a short visit here. The majority of our time was visiting while shopping and/or eating but it seems the photos I took almost all involve meals! Anyway, they show lots of smiles from visiting with dear friends I haven’t seen since we met in Italy to tour various cities a couple of years ago.

I NEED this tshirt - My feet hurt from kicking so much ass

stare down that became a prompt for laughter

I need their daughter to know Elmo!

they think I'm a bit nuts too

Looks like a fun time was had by all. We love Turkish food and had a big Turkish population where I grew up in Germany.

Its funny, the guy was in the US for a few years and I already had a Turkish cookbook before meeting him. I wasn’t sure what all to try but loved the things I had tried…. really enjoyed letting him borrow it so he could cook for me! 😉

It’s such a great feeling to see friends from far away, being long distance makes it that much more special when you do get to visit with them! Looks like you guys had a great time!
