How often do you say “thank God it’s Friday!” with enthusiasm? Well for me, it is truly enthusiastically that I say it tonight! I’ve said it several times today and truly meant it too! But I didn’t realize that I could have been singing it all day! This is so fun that it will likely come to mind a few more times during my November 30 days of thanks, but having the song cued up here on the blog will be enough.
Friday is the end of my work week and the start of my weekend. Whether the weekend is used to visit with friends and family or simply to catch up on housework and errands, the change of pace and mindset is always welcome! That down time is used for hobbies like photography or pottery and can be spent having a pajama day.
I have friends that have weekends at other times of the week and friends whose time off moves around a bit, but in general, my friends and I are lucky to have jobs that will help us meet budgets and all with time to spare for weekends. Sure, there are times when work demands encroach on the weekend, but it is still relatively easy to have downtime. Not everyone has that, so once again, I have to acknowledge I am blessed!
TGIF!
